Crossrail launches Autumn Edition of Link Magazine for young people

The Autumn edition of the 'The Link', a magazine aimed at young people to involve them in the Crossrail project has been launched.

'Young people are the passengers of the future. We want them to feel a part of this exciting project and to listen to their views and ideas,' said Bernard Gambrill, Head of Public Affairs at Cross London Rail Links.

He added: 'Young people are the key to Crossrail. As current primary school students will be leaving school and entering the world of work the first trains will begin to run, so their views are very important to us.'

Three hundred thousand copies of the magazine are printed and sent to over 750 schools across London and the magazine is also published on the Crossrail website.

This edition features Crossrail's participation at Skill City, the UK's largest interactive careers event and sixth formers at St Angelas and Bonaventure's 6th form centre, Forest Gate, working on a Crossrail project as part of their 'A' Level studies.

As well as the regular features such as games, a competition and profiles of some of the work roles at Crossrail – valuable careers information for young people.
