The new Supplementary Environmental Statement (SES2), its Non-technical summary (NTS) and Maps and Sections are available electronically from Wednesday 14 December 2005, on the Bill supporting documents site, accessed from the Department for Transport's website www.dft.gov.uk or www.crossrail.co.uk.

The Bill supporting documents site can be accessed from a button on the left hand side of the Crossrail website homepage.

SES2 contains further details on utilities diversions and additional information on western route section railway possessions; badgers; Maidenhead railway bridge (scaffolding); 4-18 Bishop's Bridge Road; grout shafts at Charing Cross Road; Smithfield Market loading bays; lorry movements at Whitechapel Station; Romford Depot (noise barriers); Shenfield Station (railway possessions); and Manor Wharf (dredging).

This document is being made available now on the above websites only, in advance of its formal advertisement and publication which is expected to be in January 2006.

Until formal publication, SES2 is only available electronically. For the purposes of making comments on SES2, the time period for public consultation will not begin to run until there has been formal paper publication for the purposes of the Parliamentary procedures.
