The Crossrail Jobs Brokerage - ceased operation on 31st March 2016.
Crossrail is committed to offering local people the opportunity to increase their skills and work on the largest construction project in Europe. To make this commitment a reality Crossrail established the Crossrail Jobs Brokerage in partnership with Jobcentre Plus.
Between 2011 and March 2016, the Crossrail Jobs Brokerage directly secured employment for more than 700 local or previously unemployed people. The Jobs Brokerage ceased operating on Crossrail in March 2016, following a reduction in contractor vacancies as the Crossrail project moved from civil engineering to the system-wide and fit-out stage.
Crossrail and several of our major contractors are now supporting the BuildLondon Brokerage, which also forms part of an important new initiative for the construction sector called Skills Planner. The BuildLondon brokerage is also a partnership with JobCentre Plus and offers access to construction jobs across a wider range of projects and employers.
