1. What is the best way to apply for a role at Crossrail?
The best way to apply for any of our vacancies is through our Career’s section of the Crossrail website. This is where we list all of our vacancies as soon as they are required by the business.
2. Do I need to complete the application form?
Yes, all of our candidates are required to go through the same process and submit an application form, unless you are being represented by a recruitment agency who have their own processes for submitting candidates to us.
3. What is the best way to get my application noticed?
In order to have the best chance to be successful please make sure that you fully complete the application form being as concise and as precise as you can in all of your education and professional achievements. This will enable us to evaluate your skills and experience against the role fully.
4. Will you let me know if I have been short-listed?
All of our adverts have a closing date included within the posting. Once the advert has closed and our recruitment team has had the opportunity to review all the applications, including the approval of the hiring manager, we will then invite all of the short-listed candidates in for interview. All of the unsuccessful candidates will also be informed of the outcome at this stage.
5. Will I be updated on each stage of the process?
We will acknowledge all of the applications that come through to us. Once we have completed the short-listing we will advise each of the applicants on their process, and whether they have been successful at obtaining an interview. At the end of the process we will inform all the candidates on the outcome of their application to us.
6. I currently live abroad can I still apply for Crossrail vacancies?
Yes, as long as you have the rights to freely work and live in the UK with no restrictions. We currently offer employment to all UK, EU, and other eligible passport / visa holders.
7. What kind of interview process can I expect?
Once you have been selected for interview you will be fully informed of the interview and assessment requirements for the position you are applying for. Some of our interviews can be completed in one stage, and some require further stages and further testing.
8. I think my skills might be suitable to more than one position, can I submit multiple applications?
Yes, as long as you have reviewed the adverts and more importantly the job description of each of the posts you wish to apply for. When you feel confident that you meet the criteria required you may submit your applications. Please note that each individual position you wish to apply to requires an individual application submitted.
9. Do you accept speculative applications?
Due to the volume of applications we receive, we currently don’t accept speculative applications or CV’s. However if wish you to be included in our mailing list for any possible future openings please email your contact details to firstname.lastname@example.org specifying you would like to be added to the vacancy mailing list.
10. Do you offer visa sponsorships?
We are governed by the UK Employment Law, and will only evaluate the possibility of employment sponsorship in the very rare and exceptional circumstances.

We offer a very generous annual leave allowance of 30 days per year, plus additional bank holidays for the calendar year.

1. Do we use recruitment agencies or partners at Crossrail?
As we are part of the bigger TFL family, we have a list of partners we are currently working with as per the TFL Preferred Suppliers List. Unfortunately we are not able to entertain any additional providers outside of this agreement.
2. How you can work with us?
If you are part of the TFL Preferred Suppliers List you can request to work with us on certain assignments by contacting our recruitment team directly, however our first and foremost preference is to attract candidates directly into our business.
3. Do we accept speculative CV’s from agencies?
Unfortunately we do not accept speculative CV’s or applications at this stage.
4. Do we keep a record of contacts for future use?
As our focus is to represent Crossrail as employer of choice, we are striving to achieve this through direct routes to market, therefore we will not be retaining any speculative agency details for future use.
