The Commercial team helps to build a commercially successful and operational railway that will meet and exceed the expectations, including Procurement and Legal divisions.
We establish the commercial relationships that enable Crossrail to be delivered and challenge delivery teams to work accordingly. Our ambition is that the industry partners will be successful in their contribution to the project.
We help people across the project to understand and allocate the risk in contracts and agreements, and support them to obtain no less than what has been agreed. It is crucial that everyone has a shared understanding of what Value for Money means and that we strive to obtain the best values.
Within the division our Commercial Services team can provide advice and assistance on the negotiation of commercial agreements with Third Parties and the appraisal of value for money.
The Legal Services department within Crossrail provides advice and support on all legal issues arising on the project, including contracts with our suppliers and Industry Partners, land acquisition and Crossrail Act issues.
Whilst our secretariat is responsible for managing the internal governance.
We exist to deliver an affordable railway that meets our Sponsors’ expectations. If we are to get the best value for money from this huge investment, Crossrail has to ensure that the building blocks that make up the entire project are integrated and work together as a railway system.
