What kind of work have you been involved with at Crossrail?
I head up the IT Service Management team at Crossrail. I am currently responsible for re-launching the IT Service desk which will provide a World Class service for all of Crossrail employees. I am also responsible for managing the relationship with our partners who provide our IT Desktop support.
What do you enjoy best about working at Crossrail?
It is great to work as one big team as we all have the same end goal which is the finished Railway, so this shared goal ensures that everyone works together in the best way possible. It is also great to be able to work on such a major project which will ultimately improve the lives of millions of Londoners!
What makes you stay at Crossrail?
It is a dynamic environment. No two days are the same. I know that my contribution is key in ensuring that IT works across the organisation, which in turn ensures that the Railway can be built on time!!
Why should someone aspire to work at Crossrail?
There are plenty of opportunities to shine at Crossrail and get noticed. It’s a great working environment where the Work / Life balance is just right (although you are expected to work hard) and of course in 2018 I will be able to say “I helped build that”.
Hobbies, Interests? Tell us more about your personal side, who are you really?
Three years ago I ambitiously signed up for the Berlin Marathon and completed it in 4 hours…. I then got the bug. I have now completed New York Marathon in 2010, London Marathon in 2012 and in April I am running the Paris Marathon. I have also raised over £10,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and that total will hopefully keep increasing the more I run!!
