The Sir Simon Milton Westminster University Technical College is a new school for Westminster. The Sir Simon Milton Foundation is working in partnership with Crossrail and a number of other employers to develop a new, purpose-built school for 14-18 year olds.
Located less than 10 minutes from Victoria station, the Sir Simon Milton Westminster University Technical College (UTC) will educate and train young Londoners for jobs in the transport and construction industries. There will be state of the art machinery, equipment and facilities and a unique curriculum offer including 15 business challenges developed by employer sponsors and delivered with outstanding teaching staff.
The Sir Simon Milton Westminster UTC will inspire and develop a new generation of engineers, technicians and business leaders with the skills, confidence and knowledge to succeed in their careers with employment partners which include Network Rail, Crossrail, Mace, BT Fleet and Land Securities, or progression to higher education including with the UTC's University sponsor, the University of Westminster.
The school was approved by the Department for Education in January 2014 and will open its doors to pupils in September 2016.
