Crossrail currently has over 10,000 people working across more than 40 worksites throughout London and the south east with construction works running concurrently across the whole route.
We are committed to providing up-to-date information about construction works along the route to ensure local communities understand not only about the benefits our new railway will bring, but also about current progress.
We hold regular community liaison panels throughout the central and south east section to help communicate with, and address concerns of, local authorities, neighbouring residents, community groups and businesses.
The meetings serve as two- way channels between Crossrail and the local community in affected areas, addressing construction activity and other associated issues.
The first panel was set up in 2006 and a further seven have been established since. These are located in the areas where the most significant construction work takes place.
- Bond Street
- Tottenham Court Road
- City of London
- Abbey Wood
- North Woolwich and Silvertown.
Each meeting includes an overall Crossrail project update and site specific works updates that provide both information about works progress and an outline of forthcoming works that may have an impact on the local community. Residents, businesses and local authority members have the opportunity to speak to our construction teams in order to better understand the impact of our works on the local area.
