Paddington’s clock arch transformed into a Crossrail information point
By Juliet Whitcombe
Crossrail has created an information point in the clock arch area of Paddington station, alongside Platform 1. The information point displays details about the project and the work that is taking place to build the new Crossrail Paddington station.
In addition to the Paddington information point, Crossrail operates two visitor information centres to enable residents, businesses and anyone interested in the project to obtain details about the scheme. These staffed centres offer details on each of Crossrail’s central London stations. Representatives from Jobcentre Plus operate from the centres to register job seekers for future employment opportunities on the project.
The two permanent information centres are located at Tottenham Court Road and Whitechapel.
The Crossrail Visitor Information at Tottenham Court Road can be found at 16-18 St Giles High Street, WC2H 8LN (behind Centrepoint and opposite Denmark Street). This centre is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 11am to 7pm.
The Crossrail Visitor Information Centre at Whitechapel is located within the Idea Store at 321 Whitechapel Road, E1 1BU. The centre is staffed on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11am to 7pm.
