Visitor Information Centres

Crossrail Visitor Centre

Crossrail operates visitor information centres to enable local residents, businesses and anyone interested in the Crossrail project to get further information or have their queries answered by Crossrail staff.

The centres offer specific information for each of the main Crossrail stations in the central area and general information about the Crossrail project.  The Centres highlight the benefits these developments will bring for passengers as well as explain how it will be built and how people will be able to get future updates on the works.

Jobcentre Plus also have staff at the Visitor Centres. They are able to register interests people have in future job opportunities at Crossrail, and signpost people to skills development and other support for employment opportunities.

There are currently 2 permanent information centres, in Tottenham Court Road and Whitechapel.

Tottenham Court Road

The Crossrail Visitor Information is at 16-18 St Giles High Street, WC2H 8LN (behind Centrepoint, opposite Denmark Street) and is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 11am to 7pm, when Crossrail staff will be available to help with any enquiries.

The Tottenham Court Road area was chosen as the location for the first visitor centre as the works here are the furthest advanced and it is the most complex Crossrail worksite in central London.

The centre also includes meeting facilities to be used for local community liaison panel meetings and other community engagement exercises.

Jobcentre Plus staff are available on Tuesdays between 2pm - 4pm. At all other times, Crossrail staff will be available to register interests for future job opportunities.

You can browse and download the information on display at the Tottenham Court Road Information Centre below.

Whitechapel

The Crossrail Visitor Information Centre at Whitechapel is located within the Idea Store at 321 Whitechapel Road, London, E1 1BU.

There is a display giving details of the Crossrail scheme and in the works planned for Whitechapel in particular. The centre is staffed on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11am to 7pm, when you can drop in and talk to staff about the scheme.

Jobcentre Plus staff are available on Mondays and Wednesdays between 2pm - 4pm. At all other times, Crossrail staff will be available to register interests for future job opportunities.
