Current works at Bond Street station

Construction of the new Crossrail station at Bond Street got underway in 2010, with a programme of utility diversion works and the demolition of buildings above each of the ticket hall sites.

Two brand new ticket halls – at Hanover Square in the east and Davies Street in the west – have been designed with a carefully considered selection of material to create timeless and easily recognisable public spaces.

Description of work:

Master Plan Shaft Demolition Works On Tuesday 15 November 2016, CSJV will commence demolition of the lower-level slabs within the Master Plan Shaft at the eastern ticket hall. The concrete slab is located approximately 20m below the surface, and will be broken out as part of the shaft reconstruction process. The breaking-out works will take place on a 24/7 basis. These works are expected to last between 2-3 weeks from Tuesday 15 November 2016. A 13 tonne excavator will load wagons with waste concrete from the muck-bay during this period, and the material will be disposed of off-site. We will endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum and apologise for any inconvenience as a result of the works. We would like to thank our neighbours and all our stakeholders for their continued cooperation and support throughout 2016.
