Current works at Bond Street station

Construction of the new Crossrail station at Bond Street got underway in 2010, with a programme of utility diversion works and the demolition of buildings above each of the ticket hall sites.

Two brand new ticket halls – at Hanover Square in the east and Davies Street in the west – have been designed with a carefully considered selection of material to create timeless and easily recognisable public spaces.

Description of work:

Due to unforeseen circumstances such as the discovery of concrete obstructions, uncharted buried services and contaminated ground, the urban realm works in the Weighhouse Street/Davies Street, South Molton Lane area have, unfortunately, been delayed. We now anticipate completion of these works by early June. However the hoarding is due to be removed w/c 6 May. From Monday 8 April delivery vehicles will turn right from Gilbert Street into the western leg of Weighhouse Street and then reverse into the site and to the West One delivery bay.
