Current Works
London Underground project upgrade
London Underground are currently carrying out a major upgrade of Bond Street station. Prior to the works, the existing utility assets in Oxford Street need protecting from the potential for ground settlement during tunnelling. Utility works along Oxford Street are currently being undertaken and are scheduled for completion in November 2011.
Bond Street station is in the heart of London's West End, the busiest shopping district in the UK - serving tourists, residents and businesses in the area.
More than 155,000 passengers use the station daily. When Crossrail arrives in 2018 passenger numbers are expected to increase to 225,000.
The upgrade works will reduce congestion and delays at the station, open a new station entrance, provide step-free access and integrate access to Crossrail services.
