Taplow station

Work has been undertaken at Taplow station to deliver a number of enhancements in preparation for the new Elizabeth line services including a new station information system, security systems and CCTV for the benefit of passengers.

These improvements have been delivered by TfL.

The works include:

  • A new footbridge and lifts at the station
  • A new station information and security system has been installed
  • Cutting back the canopy on platform 3 b to provide clearance for new overhead electric lines

In addition to the station works overhead electric wires have been installed by Network Rail on the line enabling new, electric trains to run through the station. Extensive track and signalling work has also been undertaken to improve reliability and increase capacity.

TfL's improvement work will continue until the Elizabeth line fully opens.

The works include:

  • Refurbished ticket hall and ticket office
  • Refurbished waiting rooms and toilets
  • Three new lifts and a footbridge providing step-free access to platforms 2/3 and 4

Network Rail is also improving customer information and lighting.

During this work, please use the temporary footbridge to reach platforms.

Taplow station will be step-free from platform to street by December 2019.
