A number of improvements have been delivered at Taplow station as part of the Crossrail programme, including:
- Cutting back the canopy on platform 3 by approximately 60cm and then reinstating the timber valance to provide clearance for new overhead electric lines
- Installing a new station information and security system.
Transport for London will also install a new footbridge and lifts at the station before the first Elizabeth line services begin.
Extensive track and signalling work along the line will improve reliability and increase capacity.
ELIZABETH LINE SERVICES FROM TAPLOW
When the full route opens, up to four Elizabeth line trains an hour in each direction will serve Taplow station, allowing passengers to travel right through central London without having to change trains.
