Some of these changes would have the effect of extending the scope of the Bill.
Such changes to the project can be made by depositing Amendment of Provisions and in some cases require further environmental assessment work to be carried out and published.
An Amendment of Provisions Environmental Statement (AP3) is now available and contains details on:
- Works and land for the provision of improved depot facilities at Old Oak Common Depot and the realignment of the existing railway between Old Oak Common and Ladbroke Grove
- Works and land for the provision of improved depot facilities at North Pole Depot
- Works and land for the re-alignment of the existing railway between Westbourne Park and Royal Oak
- Works and land for the reconstruction of the footbridge carrying Westbourne Park Passage
- Works for the lowering of Eastbourne Terrace and Chilworth Street
- Works and land at Bond Street Station
- Additional land at Hanover Square and at Newman Street
- Works and land at Denmark Street and Centre Point, Tottenham Court Road Station
- Works and land for the relocation of the proposed shaft at Fox and Knot Street
- Works and land at Liverpool Street Station
- Additional land at Charterhouse Square and at Lindsey Street / Hayne Street / Long Lane
- Works and land at the proposed Isle of Dogs station
- Additional land for access at Essex Wharf, Whitechapel
- Works and land at Instone Wharf
- Works and land for the provision of a train reversing facility at West Ham
- Additional land for a working site at Cook's Road
- Additional land for a working site at Arsenal Way, Woolwich
- Works and land for the provision of improved depot facilities at Ilford Depot
- Additional land for a working site and access at Goodmayes Station
- Additional land and access at Westlands, Romford
- Additional land for access at Gidea Park sidings
- Additional land for access at Maidenhead Station
- Alteration of the works proposed at West Drayton Yard
- Additional land for access at Stockley Close
- Additional land for working space at Hanwell Station
- Land for the provision of improved depot facilities at Clacton on Sea Depot.
Petitions
As with the Bill, those affected by the proposals in the Amendment of Provisions have the opportunity to petition against them. Parliament has set a five week petitioning period ending on 13 December 2006, in which those affected should submit their petitions to the Private Bill Office in the House of Commons. Consultation
Anyone may comment on the Amendment of Provisions Environmental Statement (whether or not they wish to petition Parliament formally). Comments should be sent to the Secretary of State c/o Tim Neate, Consultation Manager, Department for Transport, Major Projects Division 3, Zone 2/08, 76 Marsham Street, London SW1P 4DR (e-mail: crossrail@dft.gsi.gov.uk) on or before 20 December 2006.
Comments received on or before that date will be presented to Parliament and published.
