Projects : Slough Station : Activity at St Angelas Ursuline Convent School

-
Our initial visit to Slough Station was in June when we researched the problems that are being experienced.

Since then we have completed a range of designs that we are now beginning to model. We are at the final stage of producing designs that we hope will be considered to improve this station.

Some of the ideas are:
  • to redevelop the station entrance and improve the ticket areas then to replace the existing ticket hall with a double height coffee shop.
  • to redesign the ticketing arrangements to improve the flow of passengers through the ticket hall.
  • to protect the travelling public fromthe fast moving trains that rush through the station by providing sophisticated safety barriers on the platforms by the train lines.
  • to redevelop the space in front of the station to create a beautiful new bus terminal.
  • to design a new bridge that will be used in conjunction with the old one but will provide extra facilities and a clean safe and spacious environment for passengers to cross from one platform to another.

We are now making models of our ideas and hope to complete this project at the end of March.
