33 students, aged between 13 – 17, from nine London secondary schools were set the task of producing and presenting design concepts for the proposed Crossrail Station at Canary Wharf.
This was an innovative and challenging curriculum programme aimed at Gifted and Talented Students but was designed so that the student's teachers could also run parallel courses at school with workshop delegates providing feedback to their peers, and workshop information appearing on a dedicated website.
There were five workshops, four of which were held on the 50th Floor of the Canary Wharf Tower over a three month period.
The students were also taken to architecturally significant places, chosen by the architects supporting the programme. These visits included a trip on the London Eye.
