Throughout the delivery of the Crossrail Project, this website provided suppliers, across all tiers, with visibility of both Crossrail Ltd (CRL) and its supply chain opportunities.
Crossrail opportunities fell into two categories:
- Direct opportunities with Crossrail Limited (CRL)
- Indirect opportunities with the Crossrail supply chain.
All direct (Tier 1) procurement is complete.
Crossrail’s principal contractors are currently delivering the remaining station works as trains operate in Trial Running.
SUPPLY CHAIN OPPORTUNITIES
For opportunities with our Tier 1 Contractors, you may wish to contact them directly and they will individually advise you on how to work with them on Crossrail.
The Crossrail suppliers and current opportunities database list details of companies we have awarded contracts to so far.
CompeteFor is a free service that enables UK businesses to compete for contract opportunities linked to major public and private sector buying organisations. Crossrail Ltd requires Tier 1 Contractors to advertise all other appropriate subcontract opportunities on CompeteFor.
Designed to be a fair and transparent procurement process it does not favour suppliers of any particular size and maximises the opportunities available to SMEs.

Direct Opportunities with Crossrail Ltd
Crossrail is a publicly funded project and is subject to The Utilities Contracts Regulations. Direct opportunities valued above the EU thresholds were advertised through the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).
All Crossrail OJEU Contract Notices could be found on the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) website and each notice provided details of the particular opportunity and, for interested organisations, instructions on how to respond.
Our smaller direct contracts (below EU thresholds) were advertised on CompeteFor.
The Supplier Guide aimed to help all interested suppliers find out more about the Crossrail programme and related opportunities.
