Crossrail Paddington station team commended in Considerate Constructors Scheme inspection

Crossrail’s Paddington Station contractor, Costain Skanska Joint Venture,  has been graded as Execeptional following their recent Considerate Constructors Scheme inspection.

The feedback was very positive, praising the team for their efforts and thanking them for “exceeding the expectations of the Scheme at an exceptional level”.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) aims to improve the image of construction by assessing and monitoring sites against a code of practice.  Under the scheme sites are awarded a score out of ten in each of the five core categories:  enhancing the appearance, securing everyone’s safety, respecting the community, caring for the workforce, protecting the environment.

The project scored 45 out of 50, achieving a score of nine scored in each category.  Nine is classified by the considerate constructors scheme as  Exceptional, placing the teams performance at the forefront of industry best practice in demonstrating the very highest level of achievement far above the minimum standards required by the Scheme’s Code.
