TECHNICAL PAPERS COMPETITION WINNERS TO SHOWCASE KNOWLEDGE AND INNOVATION AT THE ICE

The winners of Crossrail’s second annual Technical Papers Competition will present their findings at the Institution of Civil Engineers on Monday 24 February 2014 at 6pm.

Designers, contractors, industry partners and project participants were invited to share learning and innovation about infrastructure design and implementation developed across the £14.8bn project. The technical papers competition was open to any contractor, design consultant or Crossrail staff member who has worked on the Crossrail project.

In this open event you'll hear presentations from the winning authors:

  • David Harris, Andrew Davis and Emilio Linde-Arias on their paper Sprayed Concrete Lining depressurisation at Stepney Green caverns
  • Hillary Skinner, Vicky Potts, Adrian St John and Damian McGirr on Stabilisation of soil pillar adjacent to Bond Street Eastern Ticket Hall
  • Michael Wan and Jamie Standing on Measuring pore water pressure by multilevel vibrating wire piezometers

Members of the public are welcome however, numbers are limited and visitors will be welcomed on a first-come, first-served basis.
