Young Crossrail Christmas card competition winning designs unveiled

Thank you to all the individuals and schools that entered the Crossrail Christmas Card competition.
Almost 100 entries were received from young people and school groups who submitted drawings, paintings and collages depicting ‘Christmas in the future’ or ‘Christmas across London’.
The two winning entries have now been chosen with Silvia, aged 7 from Chelsea winning the ‘10 and under’ age category and Sam, aged 12 from Hornchurch winning in the 11-16 age group. Both winners will have their designs made into e-cards to be sent out by Crossrail staff. They also each receive a family ticket to a Merlin Group theme park of their choice.
The standard of work was extremely high across both age groups. Crossrail Chief Executive, Andrew Wolstenholme said: “I was extremely impressed by the creative talent and imagination in the entries we received and would like to thank everyone that took the time to enter. Congratulations to our two winners and I look forward to sharing your fantastic winning designs with everyone involved in the Crossrail project.”
The designs will also be on display at an exhibition to be held at the Tottenham Court Road Visitor’s Information Centre from 4th December.
